Color The Schools

“Not everything in a high schooler’s life has to be about what comes after graduation; taking some of the pressure off to participate in classes like art can bring down the stress and even open students to different ways of thinking about the world. . .While some schools are backing away from funding for the arts, others are starting to recognize the state of their students’ mental health and trying to better it.”

Kintsugi is a Japanese art form in which breaks and repairs are treated as part of the object's history. Kintsugi means "golden joinery" in Japanese, and aside from repairing pottery and making something beautiful, psychologically speaking, it’s all about healing our emotional wounds and rebuilding our lives, becoming stronger in the process.

It's Good For You

It's Good For You

“From all our best science, we know that creativity is good for us. . .Whether you’re painting, drawing, writing, making music, scrapbooking, gardening, knitting, sewing, or dancing (and the list doesn’t stop there), you’re also increasing the quality of your life.”

Why Art?

Why Art?

“At The Art Room we see our clients as creators. Instead of asking them to only focus on themselves, we ask them to express their emotions and experiences onto a medium. It is through this method that our creators have produced numerous breathtaking pieces of art, which both validate their experiences and carve a pathway for others to understand them.”
