announcing the 2026 positive cycology ride

The Positive Cycology Ride 2026 is the 4th annual fundraising bike ride event to support The Art Room in Denton, a nonprofit art studio for people with mental health challenges. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and National Bike Month, and we offer three bike rides to support the positive psychological benefits of both bike riding and art-making.

Routes

The Positive Cycology Ride 2026 has three routes this year:

  • 8 mile, family-friendly, leisure ride.
[Please note: children 8-12 ride free, but must be experienced at riding on Denton city streets, and accompanied by an adult, at least 21 years old, who will ride next to the child for the entire ride, and will supervise no more than 3 children]

  • 27 mile experienced ride (minimum average speed 10 mph)

  • 50 mile ride for the even more experienced rider (minimum average speed 14 mph)
