Positive Cycology Ride 2025

The Positive Cycology Ride is the 3rd annual fundraising bike ride event to support The Art Room in Denton, a nonprofit art studio for people with mental health issues. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and National Bike Month, and we offer three bike rides to support the positive psychological benefits of both bike riding and art.

The Positive Cycology Ride has three routes this year:

• an 8 mile, family-friendly, leisure ride. [Please note: children 8-12 ride free, but must be experienced at riding on streets, and accompanied by an adult, at least 21 years old, who will ride next to the child for the entire ride, and will supervise no more than 3 children]

• a 27 mile experienced ride

• a 50 mile ride for the even more experienced rider

Check-In and Day-Of Registration Location

East Side Denton. 117 E. Oak St., Denton, TX 76201. All rides start and end at East Side. This location has bathrooms. Snacks will be provided.

Ride Routes:

The rides go north and west on a more rural route, toward Krum and Ponder (see maps).

Features of Our Ride:

Riders will receive a t-shirt (see deadline) and a beverage token for East Side Denton, as well as a swag bag.

Riders are eligible to win raffle prizes and fundraising awards at the post-ride celebration at East Side Denton, 117 E. Oak St., where we will gather for food (food trucks at your own expense) and drinks (East Side Denton), and will award raffle prizes and fundraising awards.

Registration Cost:

Early bird registration fee: $40.00
Available through April 16, 2025

Regular registration fee: $45.00
Available from April 17 through May 16, 2025

Day-of registration fee: $50.00
On May 17, 2025

Please note: helmets are required, and headphones, tagalongs, and carriers are not allowed.
