We will start the class with a Tai Chi warmup, and then this time, with practice, we will use the good watercolor paper and paint a full image of your choice, putting together what we have learned. I found some lovely examples on Google just looking under free photos of Koi ponds, and Pinterest. Pick one you are interested in, or find your own reference image and have it handy for class. If you haven't attended the other Sumi-e classes, please join anyway, as we'll have a review and practice, and enjoy the moment with brush, paint and paper. And I've included a couple of YouTube videos we learned from last week for your review.

For this class you will need:

Sumi-e brush, or watercolor brush

Black Ink

Watercolors

Watercolor paper, or rice paper (There will be good watercolor paper and rice paper available in the art room)

We will have ink, paper, and watercolor sets if you don't have one, and if you need something special just let us know and we will try to find it for you before class time. You can come by The Art Room Wednesday through Friday, 9:00-5:00 to pick up any supplies.

Our class is limited to a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 12.
