The Art Room is excited to find someone who shares our passion for bringing art to people on their mental health journey, and who has the skills to lead us as we grow.

Located in Denton, Texas, The Art Room is a 501c3 nonprofit established in 2019, which provides a safe, supportive studio environment for local community members with mental health challenges to explore artistic expression and the development of artistic skills. Our Members will be supported in the discovery that the creative process has therapeutic value in reducing stress, in promoting self-discovery, and in providing a positive means for emotional expression. We hope to demonstrate that engaging in art is therapeutic.

Our new Executive Director will build on a strong foundation and lead the organization through its next chapter of growth, and inherits an active community resource with dedicated volunteers, an engaged board, and a growing presence in Denton County. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mission-driven leader who believes art has the power to heal.
