we will continue to explore our series on water by learning to paint a large waterfall.
You can join at any point in this series, as each class has its own instruction about painting water. There will be an example at the end of this email.
For this class you will need:
Watercolor paper, mounted with tape on a board (suggested: 140lbs, 9”x 12”)
Watercolors
Brushes; a 1” brush for large areas
Round brush, small and medium
Flat brush, for details
2 clean water containers
Optional: Sponges, wipe cloth, white gel pen
Not Optional: Your imagination and a positive attitude!
If you need any supplies let us know, paper will be available in The Art Room.
It is suggested that you prepare your drawing before class, even adding a light wash of color and background, so that it will be dry before we start today’s painting. There are 2 examples to follow below if you need them, they are a photo and painting of the same creek bed.
